How to Find a Model Number

REFRIGERATOR

For most refrigerators, you will find their model number clearly printed on their compliance plate which is located on either the right or left-hand side wall of the refrigerator.

The smaller chest type freezers usually have their model number located on one of the sides of the cabinet.

WASHING MACHINE

Usually, you will find the model number of a washing machine located on the back of the control panel, however some older models also display the model number on the side panels. For certain front-loading washing machines, the model number can be visible on the back of the door or near the door hinges.

For most older model Electrolux or Simpson washing machines, please ensure you note the “PNC” number which is located on the same label as the model number.

CLOTHES DRYER

Clothes dryers will usually have their model number label printed somewhere on the door. If you still cannot find the model number anywhere on the inside or outside of the door, it will be located on the back or side panels of the unit.

Please try to note down the complete model number of your dryer.

DISHWASHER

The model number for a dishwasher will usually be found around the border of the stainless-steel door liner. (Check the tops and sides after opening the door)

For all Dishlex, Westinghouse and Electrolux dishwashers, please ensure you note the “PNC” number which is located on the same label as the model number.

RANGEHOOD

A rangehoods model number is usually visible after you have removed the filters from the unit. Once the filters have been removed, there should be a label visible in the space above.

COOKTOP OVEN

For a cooktop oven, you can usually find your model number on a label that is located on the metal base of the cooktop or on one of the sides. If the label is located on the further side facing the wall, you may find ease utilising a mirror to read the label through the reflection.

STOVE – UPRIGHT COOKER

Model labels are usually visible without removing the stove / cooker. It is recommended that you first check around the front facing surface and below the oven.

If you still cannot find the model number, check for the compliance sticker in the centre of the griller door. Some older units have the model number label hidden on the side wall inside the oven.

If you are still unable to locate your model number, there are rare cases that your stove has a storage drawer that is removable – please safely remove the draw and check for a model label underneath this drawer and on the inside of the frame where the draw was removed from.

OVEN

Model labels are usually visible without removing the oven from the wall. It is common for the model number to be seen on the compliance plate which is located on the front facing surface around and below the door. It is recommended that you first open the door.
